SKB – Quality Mark for Professional Education
The Dutch Stichting Keurmerk Beroepsscholingen (SKB) provides a quality mark for professional education in the field of psychosocial complementary healthcare. They assess whether the content of a training programme meets the set requirements. The SKB does this in an independent, professional and practical way.
In October 2023, the ACC was accredited by the SKB and received the predicament ‘excellent’. This means that the SKB has assessed that the ACC as an institute is performing to a high standard. We have also received accreditation for our training programmes Coaching and Counselling Year 1 and Coaching and Counselling Year 2.
What does independent accreditation mean?
Accreditation means that an independent party assesses whether an educational institute as well as its training programmes meet certain (high level) standards. With regard to a training programme, the assessment for example focuses on whether the programme content is of Higher Vocational Education (Dutch HBO) level and whether the students’ exit level meets the professional profile for coaches/counsellors. The educational institute itself is examined and assessed for its quality standards and professionalism.
The SKB monitors:
- Our vision on education and how we apply this to our training programmes.
- The Higher Vocational Education (Dutch HBO) level of our training programmes.
- How we monitor and improve our quality.
