- The ACC can welcome students aged 18 and older. The student needs to have at least Dutch MBO-4 level (Vocational Preparatory Education) as pre-education, or needs to have acquired sufficient competences in the field of the profession for which he will be trained. This can be demonstrated by means of a diploma or an EVC-document.

This is always assessed during an intake interview with the teacher and/or study advisor.
- In case a student wishes to follow a specialisation course, without first following the required pre-educational training programmes at the ACC, an exemption may be requested. Exemption may be granted if the student has previously completed a coach/counselling training programme in which the basic competencies have been adequately addressed and which programme was completed with a diploma or certificate. To apply for an exemption, the student must complete the ACC’s exemption form and submit it to the student advisor. This form can be requested digitally, by contacting the ACC via email.
- The management will make the final decision on the admission and/or exemption.
- A decision to refuse admission will be communicated to the student in writing by the admissions committee, which will also mention the possibility of appeal.
- Within 30 days, a review of a decision to refuse admission may be requested by the student from the management. A decision on this request will be taken as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days after receipt, after consultation with the admissions committee.
